Resin material is uniformly distributed over a fabric or thread by (a) mixing a neutral salt of a polyamino-polyamide and a volatile organic acid with an aqueous dispersion of a coagulable resin material, (b) applying the mixture to a fabric or thread, and (c) heating the fabric or thread with the applied mixture to a temp. of at least 121 degrees C to regenerate the free polyamino-polyamide, and thus effect coagulation of the resin material. The process enables a resin material to be very uniformly distributed over a glass fabric or thread, while avoiding the migration of the pigment. The pigment thus becomes uniformly distributed over the fabric or thread, and uniformly penetrates into the fabric or thread, so that good fixation occurs.
|
