The machine for the mowing and chopping of maize or the like is to be capable of working irrespective of the row spacing and row direction of the crop, that is to say is to be usable also for broadcast sowing and also to pick up bent crop perfectly. For this, the chopping blower arranged transversely to the direction of travel and having the push-in rollers placed in a horizontal arrangement in front of it is preceded in the direction of travel by a plurality of rotating draw-in and mowing devices which each have a plurality of cutting points distributed over the front working region and having working widths lying next to one another; at the same time, the draw-in and mowing devices located nearer the push-in rollers are each at the same time also a transfer member for cut crop fed from draw-in and mowing devices located further away. |
