<p>The gymnastics mat has a bottom layer, a top layer and, if appropriate, intermediate layers. It is proposed that the bottom layer is a moulding made of elastic material which is relatively flat in proportion to its extension, has a resilient effect perpendicular to its surface, and is formed from a multitude of webs made of elastic material which are arranged approximately evenly and connect the upper side and the underside of the moulding. The cellular upper side of the moulding is preferably closed by a cover plate connecting the webs, but on the underside it is open. A removable covering made of washable, hard-wearing fabric is envisaged as the top layer above individually selectable intermediate layers, which covering is preferably gathered in elastically at its edge part. <IMAGE></p> |
