PURPOSE:To make a copy of good quality by operating operation means (lever) to move a pressing plate to paper in a cassette to put the paper to a fixed side to be aligned when a paper feed cassette is installed in a copier or the like. CONSTITUTION:Usually a pressing plate 5 is brought into pressure contact with a partition plate 2 by the spring force of a compression spring 7, so that the space 1a surrounded by a side wall 1b, a front wall 1d and a rear wall 1e of a cassette body 1 and the pressing plate 5 is expanded to the maximum, and normal paper can be easily loaded in the space 1a. When one end portion 8a of a lever 8 is pressed in direction of an arrow F from the outside after the paper is thus loaded, levers 8, 11 are turned and displaced to the first position or the second position to press a coupling 6 against a compression spring 7 through a compression spring 12, whereby the pressing plate 5 moves in direction of an arrow A to press the paper to the side wall 1b, thereby aligining and positioning the paper. |
