<p>PURPOSE:To have good performance of prevention of double sheet feeding always in the same condition regardless of the format and quantity of the sheets used, by such a construction that the distance of feed vane from the double feed preventive pad is maintained constant at all times. CONSTITUTION:When a copying machine is put in service, a motor begins driving a feed vane driving shaft 2, to rotate the feed vane 1 clockwise. Thereby the uppermost one of the sheets 9 is sent forwared by the feed vane 1. When one of the elements of this feed vane 1 comes in contact with a double feed preventive pad 7, the sheets 9 are sent forward one after another while being pressed to this pad 7 by the feed vane 1. If now the feed vane 1 has sent off two sheets 9 simultaneously toward the pad 7, the two sheets are pressed to the pad 7 overlapped one over the other, but because the frictional coefficient of the pad 7 with the sheet is larger than that of the sheets between, the lower sheet will remain on the pad 7 while the upper one is sent off by the feed vane 1. At this time, the distance of the pad 7 from the feed vane driving shaft 2 is maintained constant always, so that performance of double feed prevention can be obtained in the identical condition at all times.</p> |
