PURPOSE:To obtain an easily attached small printing position detecting mechanism, by fixing and arranging an indicator wherein a position where a straight line passing a pair of sight points and a platen are crossed comes to a printing position. CONSTITUTION:An indicator 8 has a bent part 81 and a projection B being a first sight point is projected from the bent part 81 while the indicator 8 is notched in a recessed shape at the leading end thereof and this notch part A is used as a second sight point. In this case, the notch base A0 of the notch part A and the leading end side B0 of the projection B are constituted so as to be made respectively parallel and the position where the straight line passing the base A0 and the leading end side B0 is coincided with a printing position. In determining the position of paper by using this indicator 8, an eye 10 is placed in the rear and the position to be printed by a character of paper subjected to manual positional determination on a platen 1 may be viewed from the eye 10 so as to be superposed to the two sight points A0, B0 of the indicator 8. |
