PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of a DC/AC power converter and to reduce the size of the converter by absorbing the energy which is stored in a reactor in a surge absorption condenser directly after a GTO thyristor is turned OFF and feeding it back to a DC power source side. CONSTITUTION:When GTO thyristors 4a, 4b are turned OFF, a condenser 15 is overcharged by the stored energy of an anode reactor 6 and a saturable reactor 7. Then, the stored energy of the anode reactor 6, the saturable reactor 7 is fed back through a DC transformer 16a and a feedback diode 20a. Simultaneously, the overcharged energy of the condenser 15 is fed back to the power source side in a circuit of a DC transformer 16b, a condenser 15, a resistor 21, and the DC transformer 16a. |
