Date Nov. 12, 1981.The disclosed invention relates to mesoporous carbon which is useful as a catalyst or adsorbent for large organic molecules. Said carbon composition comprises a regular assembly of carbon particles thus allowing an accurate pre-determination of the size and size disbtribution of the pores and creating less tortuous pathways of interconnected pores. A method of preparation of said mesoporous carbon has been disclosed.
