PURPOSE:To speedily bend a corrugated board, by a method wherein a heated blade is brought into contact with a surface of a sheet of a thermoplastic resin- made corrugated board to produce a V-shaped groove having softened or melted films on both sides, and the board is bent along the groove to press the films against each other. CONSTITUTION:The corrugated board 1 is placed on a platen 5 so that the longitudinal direction of a core 1c is orthogonal to that of the heated blades 2, thereafter the blades 2 are heated, and are driven to move downward, whereby tip parts thereof are pressed against the surface 7 of the sheet of the board 1. The softened or melted films 8 are produced along the tip surfaces of the blades 2 through softening or melting of a corrugated board material put aside by the blades 2 as the blades 2 penetrate into the interior of the board 1. The blades 2 are further lowered, are stopped at such a position as to leave a lower sheet 1b, and are moved upward, whereby two V-shaped grooves 9 each of which has the softened or melted films 8 on both sides are produced at the surface 7 of the sheet of the corrugated board 1. |
