PURPOSE:To simply and economically detect the rotating speed of an AC generator for a vehicle by detecting the magnetism which is produced by a pulsating current which flows through a cord connected to the output terminal of the AC generator. CONSTITUTION:An AC generator 2 has a stator coil 22 and a rotor coil 23 of 3-phase Y-connection. The 3-phase AC outputs are full-wave rectified by a diode rectifier 21, and outputted from an output terminal B-E. A load 7 is connected through a switch 6 to the output line which is connected to the output terminal B-E, and a storage battery 1 is connected in parallel with the load. A voltage regulator 8 detects the voltage between the terminals B and E, and the exciting current to a rotor coil 23 is controlled so as to maintain the detected voltage constant. The rotating speed of the generator can be notified by detecting the magnetic field which varies proportionally to the rotating speed of the generator which is generated around the output line by a coil 9. |
