摘要 PURPOSE:To measure the adhered number of white blood cells or blood platelets by arranging field effect transistors each coated with a nylon or glass layer in the gate part in a blood passing test tube. CONSTITUTION:The surface of many field effect transistors (FET) 4 arranged along the inside wall of a blood passing test tube 3 is beforehand coated thereon with an adhesive material 11 of nylon or glass. Since the cell 6 of a white blood cell or blood platelet has a negative potential on the surface, a p channel type is used for the FET4 so that a channel is formed when the cell sticks thereon. The channel length of each FET4 is made about the same as the diameter of the cell 6 so that the FET turns on when one cell sticks thereon. When a blood 2 is passed in the tube 3 by operating an injector 2, the cell 6 sticks on the gate part of the FET4, thus giving rise to a change in the source-drain current thereof. The time until a prescribed number of the white blood cells and blood platelets adhere is thus measured automatically.
