<p>The jewellery display unit described comprises the combination of a holding and display device together with a clip device for supporting an article of jewellery; the holding device includes a relatively rigid backing and a cushion pad formed of resilient material; the clip device includes an intermediate portion traversing the backing and the pad, a rear portion extending substantially perpendicular to the intermediate portion and a front portion defining an opened hook with a free end portion that sinks into the cushion pad; the cushion pad yieldingly allows the passage of the closed loop when it is forcingly applied against the pad so that the loop may be engagedly supported in the hook; the pad and the sunk free end portion thereby prevent accidental detachment of the article of jewellery from the clip device.</p> |
