Riveted buttons are attached to a garment resulting in the garment being buttoned up. One portion of the garment is placed on a pivoted holder with the button stems passing through the button holes. A second portion of the garment is placed over a fixed holder. The pivoted holder is then swung down to bring the garment portions together and fasten the button stems to the second garment portion. In its initial position, the pivoted holder holds the buttons so that their stems point forward and upward towards the machine operator. In the lower position, the pivoted holder holds the buttons so that the stems face downward towards the second garment portion. |
