PURPOSE:To provide an arrangement for effectively and reasonably fitting a catalyst removing HC and CO components from a combustion gas for purifying an exhaust gas, by retaining the catalyst for purifying the combustion gas with a securing portion provided at least one buffle plate. CONSTITUTION:In a buffle unit 13 fitted inside the combustion chamber 11 of combustion cylinder 6, a plurality of buffle plates 14, 14... is integrally jointed each other by means of an axial rod 15 so that a combustion gas may flow in the direction shown by an arrow mark a. The buffle plates 14, 14... are respectively formed with the diameter substantially the same as that of combustion cylinder 6, having a stepped pushing opening 16 therein. The indentation opening 16 is defined at the lower portion of buffle plate 14 horizontally located. A multiple of air venting ports is defined in a catalyst 17 which is engaged the stepped push opening 16 of buffle plate 14 for purifying the combustion gas. The catalyst 17 is press fitted to the stepped push opening 16 by means of a fastening means 20 which is in turn secured to the periphery of stepped opening 16 of buffle plate 14 with a set screw 19. |
