PURPOSE:To constitute an inexpensive optical multiplex circuit, by adding plural modulator outputs having independent inputs to input the result to an optical fiber and discriminating optically the modulating frequency of light branched at an optical branching filter at the other end of the optical fiber. CONSTITUTION:A signal having frequencies P1-Pn is inputted to n sets of modulators 202, a carrier wave modulated with the input signal is outputted to the output and added by an adder 204 via a modulator output line 203. The added output is divided into n sets of optical fibers 207 again at a branching filter 206 via an optical fiber 205. The optical fibers 207 are connected to n sets of optical fibers 209 via n sets of optical frequency filter circuit networks 208. The circuit networks 208 discriminate sull-optically the modulation frequency of the light subjected to intensity modulation and the output is transmitted to the optical fibers 209. |
