PURPOSE:To enable the efficient and hygienic encasing of cupped jelly cakes, by automating the process to transfer the cupped cake from the transfer conveyor to the region above the packaging box transferred by the packaging line conveyor, and pack the cakes in the box. CONSTITUTION:A number of cup receptors 1' to hold the cup (a) of the cupped jelly cake are arranged at regular intervals on the transfer conveyor 1. A suction head 4 moving reciprocally between the regions above the conveyor 1 and the packaging conveyor 2 is placed between the transfer conveyor 1 and the packaging line conveyor 2. A number of suction disks 7 are arranged at the lower face of the suction head 4 at regular intervals nearly equal to those of the cup receptors 1'. When the conveyor 1 is in the stop stage, the head 4 transferred above the conveyor is lowered, and the definite number of the cakes are sucked and held by the sucking action of the disks 7. The head is moved upward, transferred to the region above the packing box (b) on the conveyor 2, and lowered and at the same time, the suction of the disk is released to place the cakes in the box (b) in parallel to encase the cakes. |
