PURPOSE:To obtain strong and tough deposited metal equivalent quality to a base metal while improving weldability in weld repairing of a 13 Cr martensitic stainless cast steel product, by limiting the compsn. of the deposited metal and heat treating specifically the deposited metal part of the entire part of the cast steel product. CONSTITUTION:Welding is accomplished by using the deposited metal consisting by weight, of 0.01-0.07% C, 0.1-1% Si, 2-7% Mn, 4-8% Ni, 11-15% Cr, 0.1-2% Mo, 0.01-0.1% N, and the balance Fe and 10-18% Ni equiv. expressed by Ni%+30XC%+0.5XMn%+30XN%, and satisfying that the amt. of the residual austenite in the structure of the deposited metal is >=30%. The local part including the deposited metal or the entire part of the cast steel product is once cooled down to an ordinary temp. or below upon completion of the welding to progress martensite transformation and in succession the product is reheated and tempered to the Ac1 point at which the deposited metal starts transformation to austenite. |
