PURPOSE:To prevent articles to be conveyed from slipping and dropping during conveyance at a high speed, and to make it possible to automatically shift articles with the use of a shifter device, by providing a means for fixing an article to be conveyed and a releasing means on a conveying member having a storage section for articles to be conveyed, so that the conveying member is stopped at a predetermined stopping part. CONSTITUTION:A carte, a slip and the other article are disposed in a storage casing 18 in a medically managing section, and the casing 18 is introduced into a casing introducing section the casing 18 is introduced into a casing introducing section 39 while the address of the destined internal section is inputted on an address input device 50. Then the casing 18 is lowered by a conveying belt 41 to be delivered onto a belt 43, and is then shifted onto a belt provided with pawls for raising the casing 18 so that the casing 18 is automatically taken out upward. When no casing 18 on a belt 42 and on an introduction and delivery section 26 is detected, a push-in means 45 pushes the casing 18 onto the belt 42. Further, when an empty carrier 8 is stopped at a station 18, a casing shifter means 17 shifts the casing onto the carrier 8, and a depressing rod is raised so that a casing fixing means secures the casing 18. Then, a stator allows the carrier 8 to travel and then top it at the station 16 arranged in the internal section in accordance with the address data.
