PURPOSE:To maintain vacuum condition within a vacuum tank and reutilize the exhaust gas power with a very simple construction by providing an impeller within an engine exhaust pipe and connecting a vacuum pump mounted on the rotary shaft of said impeller to said vacuum tank through a vacuum pipe. CONSTITUTION:When an engine 1 operates, the exhaust of the engine 1 flows through an exhaust pipe 14, causing an impeller 15 provided in the exhaust pipe 14 to rotate. This rotation is transmitted, through a rotary shaft 16 to a vacuum pump 17, which causes a vacuum tank 8, connected to the pump through a vacuum pipe 18, to become vacuum. When the engine 1 is stopped, the vacuum tank 18 is maintained vacuum due to a check valve 19. Thereby a particular gear train for operating the vacuum pump 17 is not required, enabling the construction to be very simple while reutilizing the exhaust power which is otherwise thrown away from the engine 1. |
