PURPOSE:To connect a liquid chromatography glass column tube in an airtight and watertight state without imparting damage to a glass tube by pressure, by inserting a clamp ring received by the protruded flange part provided to the outer periphery of the end opening of the glass column tube into two steps of press grooves formed to the inner surface upper part of a connecting cap. CONSTITUTION:A proper protruded flange 2 is provided to the outer periphery of the end opening of a glass column tube 1 and a filter 4 having a filter packing 3 provided to the outer periphery thereof is provided to the end opening under tension. To a connecting cap 5 for enclosing the outer periphery of the end opening part of the column tube 1, two steps of press grooves 6, 7 are formed at the upper part of the inner surface thereof and a tread part 8 is formed at the lower part of the inner surface thereof while a push ring 9 is inserted into the central part thereof so as to be made slidable in the up-and- down direction of the cap 5. By this constitution, the column tube and the threaded lid can be connected in an airtight and watertight state without imparting damage to the glass tube by pressure. |
