<p>PURPOSE:To confirm easily and exactly a position of the other party of communication without any conversation, by utilizing a radio communication equipment loaded on a moving body such as an automobile, etc. CONSTITUTION:When a signal FO is transmitted to the other station from a radio communication equipment 1 of the own station, a signal FO' is sent back from the other station by synchronizing with its receiving signal. A distance between the own station and the other station is calculated by detecting a beat frequency fR based on a phase difference tR between the transmitting signal FO' and the receiving signal FO', and deriving the time required for propagation of transmitting and receiving radio waves in a signal processing device 5. A radio wave arrival direction from the other station is measured by a direction finder 2. A relative position of the other station is calculated basing on the distance and direction of the other station. A distance between the own station and the other station can be measured easily and exactly without requiring any special equipment such as a radar, etc., by utilizing an existing equipment such a mobile radio, etc., which makes an automobile a mobile station.</p> |
