PURPOSE:To enable the V belt transmission with high efficiency and durability in the V belt comprising metal piece members and adjacent rollers by providing a rubber endless retainer member in contact with the outer circumference of the flexible endless member that tightens the outer circumference. CONSTITUTION:In the V belt in which multiple metal members 7 in V-shape are in contact with each other through elongate roller members 12 and the outer circumference is tightened by the flexible endless member 13, the outer circumference is further provided with the endless elastic member 14 that engages the metal members 7 to firmly support the metal members on the endless elastic member 14. The endless retaining member 14 made of rubber absorbs the force acting upon adjacent ends 7a to cause them to come close by means of its elasticity of protrusion 14b. Therefore, abnormal inclination is prevented, and reduction in the transmission efficiency and troubles such as imbalanced wear can be avoided. |
