PURPOSE:To enable the control in such a way that the voltage applied on transparent electrodes can be applied on electric field applying electrodes when the transparent electrodes are touched by disposing the transparent electrodes on the surface of transparent insulation plates so as to correspond positionally to the electric field applying electrodes. CONSTITUTION:A liquid crystal 2 is sealed between transparent insulation plates 1, and electrodes 3, 4 are disposed. Switches 5 consisting of transparent members are provided on the corresponding surfaces of the plates 1 and when the respective electrodes are controlled with a control circuit 6 by the switches 5, only the desired electrodes can be made visible. If the switches in the positions where the electrodes are desired to be made visible are turned on, the corresponding electrodes are made visible, and the user is able to view the desired electrodes while touching directly the liquid crystal display plate. In other words, drawing of disired intricate figures is feasible by setting the electrodes 3, 4 at a relatively small and high density, installing the additive switches 5 corresponding to the electrodes on the surface of the plates and touching the surface of the display plate with a conductive material. |
