Method for manufacturing bracelets for watches or the like, consisting in producing each strap part by assembling two tongues 1 and 2 made from different materials and placed end-to-end, such as one strap part made from reptile skin and the other strap part made from leather. In order to produce each strap part, the ends 3 of the tongues 1 and 2 are made thinner, the said ends are placed one against the other, grain against grain, they are assembled by stitching 4, the two tongues are stretched in order to place them substantially in the continuation of one another, the fold 5 formed on the most flexible tongue is crushed and the whole assembly is held in this position by the fixing of the usual lining 6. <IMAGE>
