PURPOSE:To improve the transfer rate to attain a high-density picture, by applying a bias voltage across an intermediate transfer material and a transfer material of a toner image in an electrophotographic copying device of the intermediate transfer system. CONSTITUTION:A toner image attained by developing an electronic latent image on a photosensitive drum 1 by a developing device 3 is transferred to an intermediate transfer belt 5 in a depressing transfer part 8 and is transferred to a copy paper (transfer material) 11 in a transfer and fixing part 10. in this electrophotographic copying device, the intermediate transfer belt 5 where an adhesive layer 17 is provided on the surface of a conductive belt material 18 and the photosensitive drum 1 where a photosensitive layer 14 is provided on the surface of a metallic base material 15 are used, and the belt material 18 is grounded through a conductive transfer roll 4, and the bias voltage is applied to the metallic base material 15 of the photosensitive drum by a DC power source 16, and the rate of the transfer of the toner image on the photosensitive drum 1 to the intermediate transfer belt 5 is improved. |
