Device for capturing information presented in the form of voltage signals on telephone line wires with a view to effecting the detailed billing of telephone communications for an automatic telephone exchange not equipped for this purpose. The capture and digitizing of the voltage signals are performed by at least one capturing and digitizing unit consisting of a plurality of line interfaces 2, effecting the calibration and filtering of the voltage signals present on each line L, and of a digitizing interface 2 comprising an analog-digital converter arrangement 5 for converting the voltage signals into digital form, as well as a transaction logic unit 10 effecting the linking of the capture and digitizing unit with a control unit 1, which performs a local processing of the information prior to transfer to a remote billing centre CF.
