The invention concerns devices with flashing signals to indicate changes in direction of motor vehicles and motor cycles </H0> It comprises: a generator 1 of signals having a regular flashing rate to signal overtaking and/or cutting back; and a generator 2 of signals having a rate differentiated by cyclic variations to signal the left and/or right turns. The switching of one of these generators 1 and 2 to the flasher lights located on the same side of the vehicle is controlled voluntarily by a deliberate means T to be operated by the driver and/or automatically by a braking control means L or by a decelerometer. This switching of one of the generators 1 and 2 is carried out by a device or devices M and L and/or by electronic and/or electrotechnical assemblies, 5, 6, 7 and 8.
