a) Apparatus for the blowing of mail into different carrying bags, comprising a series of superimposed shelves mounted on a frame and forming a corresponding number of pigeon-holes each intended to receive a carrying bag. b) Near its forward edge, each shelf 5 carries, on its underside, at least one elastic grip 9 which is open towards the rear and can grip the top edge 10 of the opening of a bag 11 whose lower part lies on the shelf beneath. Preferably the arrangement is such that the distance between these shelves can be modified. c) The present apparatus allows the letters which are to be dispatched to be blown directly into the carrying bags corresponding to the different destinations intended for these letters. <IMAGE>
