PURPOSE:To provide a dehumidification device which supplies dry air to a desired part of a copying machine and to dehumidify paper by installing to said device a container for silica gel for dehumidifying air and a heater for regenerating the silica gel with hot air. CONSTITUTION:The inlet 3 and outlet 2 of a vessel 1 wherein silica gel 3 is contained are connected to a blower 8, the desired place of a copying machine and the place for discharging the hot air required for regenerating the silica gel by connecting means 7, 9 such as hoses or the like, respectively. The means 9 is conducted only to one of the above-described two parts by branching the same in a midway and providing a selector valve to the branch. A heating element 5 is provided to the vessel 1. When air is fed by the blower 8, the air is dehumidified while it passes through the particles of the silica gel 10 and the dry air is supplied to the desired part of the copying machine so that paper is dehumidified. On the other hand, when the dehumidifying function of the silica gel 10 is deteriorated, electricity is conducted to the element 5 and air is fed from the blower 8 to discharge the hot air past the silica gel from the above- described discharging position, thereby regenerating the silica gel. |
