PRODUCTION OF COLORED LENS HAVING ANTIREFLECTIVITY

PURPOSE:To improve reproducibility and to meet promptly with diversified requirements by dyeing a lens base material or the antireflection film formed on the lens base material. CONSTITUTION:An antireflection film having dye transmittability or dyeability is formed on a dyeable lens base material, whereafter the lens base material or the antireflection film formed on the lens base material is dyed. A viscouse paste-like compounded liquid of dyes is prepd. and the antireflection film is directly colored with such liquid by a screen printing method or the like, or a figured pattern is beforehand formed of the dye paste by flexible printing and is pasted on the antireflection film to create a tight contact condition between the dye layer and the surface of the antireflection layer. The layers are then subjected to a dry or wet heat treatment.
