PURPOSE:To coat vinylidene chloride on a film of plastic thickly and beautifully by such an arrangement wherein a film of vinylidene chloride is coated on the surface of a metal roll and a film of adhesive is also coated on the surface of a plastic film and they are separately dried and both films are positively combined together by pressing the plastic film to the film of vinylidene chloride strongly. CONSTITUTION:For example, an adhesive (preferably more than 1mum in thickness) is coated by an adhesive coater 2 on one side of a plastic film F fed out from a base material feeder 1 and the coated film is dried through a drying furnace 3. On the one hand, vinylidene chloride emulsion is coated on the surface of a metal roll 9 (preferably adjusted to 50-250 deg.C) by a vinylidene chloride coater 10 and an air knife 11 and dried in a drying furnace 12, and said vinylidene chloride film is combined with the plastic film F through the film of adhesive by pressing the adhesive coated surface of the plastic film F against the film of vinylidene chloride thus formed by a nip roll 7. |
