PURPOSE:To obtain the titled transfer material easily and inexpensively, by a method wherein a hardenable resin layer is provided on a base sheet provided with a releasable layer, and after incompletely hardening the resin layer, an organic solvent is brought into contact with the resin layer to generate cracks in the resin layer, then the resin layer is completely hardened, and thereafter a transfer layer is provided. CONSTITUTION:The releasable layer 2 consisting of an acrylic resin or the like is provided on the base sheet 1 consisting of a polyethylene terephthalate film or the like, the hardenable resin layer 3 consisting of melamine, acryl or the like is provided thereon, and thereafter the resin layer 3 is incompletely hardened by heating or other means. Then, an organic solvent such as a ketone, an ester or a hydrocarbon is brought into the surface of the resin layer 3 to generate cracks 4 in the surface, and the resin layer 3 is completely hardened by a treatment such as heating. Thereafter, the transfer layer 5 having an adhesive layer 6 or the like at the outermost surface and comprising, as required, a vapor-deposited metallic layer 7 and/or a colored layer 8 consisting of a dye or a pigment is provided by printing, coating or other means. EFFECT:A crack pattern of a desired roughness can be easily obtained. |
