A bending slide 30 is moved backwards and forwards by a six-member coupler mechanism which has a double-armed connecting rod 22, which is mounted on an eccentric journal 16 of a drive shaft 12, one end of which is connected to a pivoted arm 34 mounted in a fixed manner on the housing and the other end of which is connected to the slide via a rocker 26. In addition, stroke adjustment is possible by installing an eccentric bush 18 to change the effective eccentricity. The drive arrangement is designed as a mechanism with a nonuniform transmission ratio, motion reversal and a dwell at a reversal point. <IMAGE>
