A roofrack for motor vehicles, in particular for bulky objects, is described, which roofrack can be moved from its operating position in which it is located over the roof into a loading position in which it is located inclined in relation to the roof laterally next to the roof, and vice versa. As a result, the loading and unloading of the roofrack is made perceptibly easier.
