The aim in the case of a fine focus X-ray tube in whose evacuated bulb there are accommodated a glow cathode, which is surrounded by a grid, and an anode, which is equipped with a target (anticathode), an electromagnetic electron beam focusing device and an entrance diaphragm, is to achieve the object of increasing the intensity of the X-ray emission in an unexpected way and finding possibilities of simultaneously avoiding destructions on the target surface. The invention achieves this object by providing the target with an outwardly curved, spherical or cylindrical surface, and providing that the target angle is 0 to 10 DEG .
