In a filter element for hot gas filtration, a ceramic filter body (3) is held between an upper part (5) and a lower part (6) by means of a metal tie anchor (4). In order to ensure secure seating of the filter body at high temperatures, an elastic heat-resistant seal (13, 17) is disposed around the periphery (3', 3'') of the filter body (3) between the upper part (5) and the lower part (6).
