The door closer is equipped with a closer shaft loaded in the closing direction by a spring arrangement. This closer shaft guides the displaceable piston of a hydraulic piston/cylinder unit serving for damping purposes. The pressure space of the piston/cylinder unit is connected to its pressureless space on the one hand via a return channel having a throttle device and on the other hand via a non-return valve opening towards the pressure space. In order, during the door-opening movement, to cancel the force of the spring arrangement acting in the closing direction, between the piston and the spring arrangement is inserted a self-movable supporting member which can be driven in a controlled manner by external energy with the effect of a spring prestress as a function of the door actuation. |
