PURPOSE:To strengthen the end faces of inner periphery and outer periphery and to obtain a light information carrier having high reliability and stability by joining end face parts of inner periphery and outer periphery by melting or fusion with the same material as a light disk substrate and a protective substrate. CONSTITUTION:In the figure, 5 is the junction of end face parts of inner periphery and outer periphery made by melting or fusion and made of the same material as a light disk substrate 1 and a protective substrate 4. Since a recording and reproducing film 2 is covered in such manner, mechanical strength is enhanced and the intrusion of moisture is reduced remarkably. The light disk substrate 1 provided with the recording and reproducing film 2 is joined to the protective substrate 4 by an adhesive while leaving the junction 5. Then the junction 5 is molten by ultrasonic vibration and joined. The same can be applied to the end face of inner peripheral part. |
