PURPOSE:To provide a printing head light in weight and capable of being mass- produced from a synthetic resin by injection molding or the like, wherein a substantially spherical main body and a plurality of types projected on the outside periphery of the main body are formed as one body from a synthetic resin. CONSTITUTION:The truncated, substantially spherical shell form main body 1 is produced, a plurality of types 2, 2... consisting of characters or symbols are provided in projected manner on the spherical outside surface of the main body, and the two members are integrated with each other by a thermosetting synthetic resin such as a phenolic resin to produce the printing head A. The thus obtained printing head A is driven in directions of an arrow (a) and an arrow (b), thereby selecting one of the types 2 on the outside periphery of the main body 1, and the thus selected type 2 is struck against a paper 7 fitted on the outside periphery of a cylinder 6, through a printing ribbon 5, thereby performing printing. |
