<p>PURPOSE:To allow a windmill to be driven at a low air speed, by surely catching wind blowing against an area remarkably larger than a projected area of a windmill body. CONSTITUTION:Assuming that wind is blowing from a lower portion, wind present in the range as depicted by (b), (b'), (c') and (c) is caught by wind introducing plates 17 and fixed guides 6, and a wind passage 20 is gradually reduced in width during pass of wind through three wind introducing passages 20, 20' and 20''. In reverse proportional to the above, air speed is increased, and wind blows against wind receiving surfaces of brackete 2 to rotate the backets 2 by wind pressure. The wind is inversed in a direction as depicted by arrows, and flows out in a direction of a back surface of backet guides 4 adjacent to the backets 2. However, the wind does not blow against the entire surface of the wind receiving surfaces of the backets 2 because of the provision of the backet guides 4, while the inversed wind does not collide with the entering wind, but is separated by the guides 4 to flow out, thereby preventing disturbance to an entering air speed. Further, when an air speed increases to a value higher than a predetermined level, a counterclockwise rotational force created by deviation of a rotary shaft 7 overcomes a tensile force of a spring 9 to rotate a movable guide 5 to a position 5a as shown by a phantom line, thereby gradually reducing the width of the wind introducing passage 20 to limit entry of wind.</p> |
