Novel polyesters having from 15 to 60 mole percent recurring units derived from p-hydroxybenzoic acid may be employed in electrographic developer compositions having

wherein
x is 0 to 100 mole percent of the prepolymer diol component;
y ist 0 to 100 mole percent of the prepolymer diol component;
toner particles comprising the polyesters. The preferred polyesters comprise polyester prepolymer units and p-hydroxybenzoic acid units which are represented by the formula:

m is 20 to 100 mole percent of the prepolymer diacid component; and
n is 15 to 60 mole percent.
