PURPOSE:To enable the supply of the proper amount of lubricating oil to a sealed end surface, to prevent the occurrence of wear and seizure, and to improve a sealing ability and durability, by providing notch grooves in the side end surface of a driven ring making contact with the side end surface of a seat ring to form a sealed end surface. CONSTITUTION:Notches 16 are formed in 3 positions on the outer peripheral part of a side end surface 10c of a driven ring 10. The proper amount of lubricating oil in a cover 15, which is sprayed to a case end part 9b by a seat ring 2, is guided through the notches 16 to a sealed end surface 14 acting as a sliding end surface to lubricate and cool the sliding part of the sealed end surface 14. In consideration of thickness of an oil film, the notches 16 are provided in a plurality of spots at equal intervals. Additionally, the size of the notches 16 is properly selected depending upon the amount of oil fed to the sealed end surface 14. |
