PURPOSE:To obtain a fluorescent lamp capable of completely preventing crosstalk discharge while being suitable for mass production by inserting a screening body penetrated by an electrode lead into the recessed part formed on the opening end part of an envelope so as to plug said recessed part. CONSTITUTION:Electrode parts are fixed to a cover 12 while being provided on a luminous envelope 1. That is to say, that any electrode part is fixed with glass frit 5 while the part of a glass piece 13 being inserted into the recessed part 14 provided on the cover 12. Further, the column screening parts 15 made of the same metal material with that of the cover 12 are fitted into the recessed part 14 while being fixed by spot welding or the like. The screening parts 15 are inserted into the recessed part 16 provided on the opening end part of the envelope inner body 3 so as to plug said recessed part. By means of said screening parts 15, abnormal discharge generated between two electrodes 7 through a gap between the opening end part of the envelope outer body 2 and the opening end part of the envelope inner body 3 can be completely prevented. |
