PURPOSE:To obtain a storing medium causing no deformation by a change of external humidity and stable for a long period of time, by providing a water- resistant layer of a material having low moisture permeability to the opposite side of an information storing medium containing a record layer readable with a light beam or a light reflecting layer formed on a single side of a substrate. CONSTITUTION:A light reflecting layer 2 or record layer with which the information can be read by a light beam is provided on a single side of a substrate 1 made of an acrylic plate, etc. having a high level of moisture permeability and water absorbing capacity. A protecting layer 3 made of a resin such as epoxy resin, etc. is formed on the layer 2 to obtain an information storing medium. A water resistant layer 4 containing a film of a transparent inorganic substance such as an oxide of ZnO, MgO, SiO, SiO2SnO2, etc., MgF2, CeF4, etc. with thickness (a) of 500-5,000Angstrom and a polymer film having low moisture permeability and low water absorbing capacity made of an organic substance such as polypropylene and vinylidene chloride or its copolymer, etc. with the thickness (a) of 5-50mu is provided to the surface of the substrate 1 opposite to the layer 2 of the information storing medium. This medium prevents deformation of the substrate due to an external moisture change. |
