<p>PURPOSE:To apply simultaneous coding to discrimination information for effective/ineffective data in the process of the coding of a data to a CMI code without any additional discrimination bit to the data itself by coding the ineffective data according to the transition rule not used in the transition rule. CONSTITUTION:In transmitting/receiving a data, a transmission code having a specific transition rule is used to code the data, the transmitted/received data is decoded according to the transition rule of the transmission code to send the ineffective data. In the data transmission system above, the ineffective data is coded by using the transition rule not used in said transition rule to express that the data is ineffective. That is, in applying coding by using a CMI code at the transmission side, a bit desired to make it ineffective is coded by using a code '10' and a bit making it as an effective bit is coded by using the CMI code. On the other hand, in receiving the code '10' at decoding, it is discriminated to be an ineffective bit at the reception side.</p> |
