摘要 PURPOSE:To eliminate the need to move the shovel body during the horizontal excavation period for the lower part of the natural ground as well as increase the reach of the shovel by adding a mechanism to excavate horizontally the front side of the shovel body to the conventional horizontal push mechanism. CONSTITUTION:In a loading shovel having a horizontal push mechanism, when the excavating angle theta of a bucket 4 exceeds a set angle and the operating levers 36 and 37 of any of an arm 3 and the bucket 4 are operated toward the excavating direction, at least the bucket cylinder 7 among the arm cylinder 6 and the bucket cylinder 7 is extended and a boom cylinder 5 is so controlled that the moving locus of the blade tip point of the bucket is made horizontal. By adding such a control mechanism to the horizontal push mechanism, the ground in front of the vehicle can be horizontally excavated and the need to move backwards the shovel vehicle when the lower part of the natural ground is horizontally excavated can be eliminated.
