PURPOSE:To make the constitution of a multi-color ribbon cassette compact by a method in which each ink cartridge is made up of a common container and radially arranged on the same flat face around a transfer roller. CONSTITUTION:A core material 23 is projected forwards at a position biased by a fixed distance from the center axis X of a container, and ink cartridges 22Y, 22M and 22C are set in a vacant chamber 24 by turning them 90 deg. each in such a way that the core material 23 are positioned at upper, right side and lower positions. When the ribbon cassette is atttached to a printing head, the transfer roller 10 is rotationally driven as the ribbon cassette moves, and the ink ribbon 4 is turned. When the transfer roller 10 turns, ink is adhered to transfer faces 10y, 10m and 10c from the core material 23 of the ink cartridges 22Y, 22M and 22C and then transferred and supplied to corresponding color zones 4y, 4m and 4c of the ink ribbon 4. |
