Securing device (manhole securing device) for securing open manholes in streets or the like. The device consists of a perforated, slightly tapered casing (3) which with its pointed end is dimensioned and set up for interacting and engaging with the top end of a manhole (2) or a manhole frame. At its other end, which is the top end in the position of use, the casing (3) can be closed by a lid (9) which is linked to the casing and is likewise preferably perforated. The casing (3) has a locking device (21) for locking the protection device to the manhole or manhole frame. A fan (17) with a flexible channel (18) is provided in the lid. The fan motor is a low-voltage motor, and a transformer and a rectifier are provided in such a way that they can be driven, for example, from a motor vehicle battery or with mains current. <IMAGE> |
