PURPOSE:To improve the heat and shock resistances of a Cu or Cu alloy tuyere by forming a plated Ni or Ni alloy layer on the surface of the body of the tuyere and a ceramic layer consisting of one or more among Al2O3, Cr3C2, WC and BN on the Ni or Ni alloy layer. CONSTITUTION:A plated Ni or Ni alloy layer having 50-500mum thickness is formed on the surface of the body of a Cu or Cu alloy tuyere. Ni-Fe, Ni-W, Ni-P or the like is used as the Ni alloy. A ceramic layer having 10-800mum thickness and consisting of one or more among Al2O3, Cr3C2, WC and BN is then formed on the Ni or Ni alloy layer. |
