PURPOSE:To simplify an automatic switching device by providing a standby circuit and an automatic switch instructing circuit in respective two starters for selectively starting a propulsive auxiliary machine for a ship or the like and further providing a malfunction detector of an auxiliary output only at one starter. CONSTITUTION:No.1 auxiliary machine M1 and No.2 auxiliary machine M2 in a ship are respectively started by No.1 starter S1 and No.2 starter S2. One of the machines M1, M2 is normally operated, and the other is for spare to be used for vice versa. A pump P is driven by motors M1 and M2. The starters S1, S2 respectively has a standby circuit J1, J2, and automatic switch instructing circuits F1, F2, and further only the starter S1 has a discharge pressure drop detector K. Thus, one auxiliary machine start enables the other machine to standby, and the other machine start enables the one machine to stop. The circuit can output only when any of the circuis J1, J2 is operated, thereby simplifying the circuit configuration. |
